Fantasy Oil Paintings
I create fantasy oil paintings to explore desire and daydreams. My subjects range from flying squid to fruit trees that grow human hearts.
I'm inspired by song lyrics and the limits of my imagination.
I use oil for fantasy pieces because oil allows for more playtime with the artwork. I paint on paper, because the oil paint dries quicker than it would on canvas and the pieces are ready for collection sooner.
I very rarely undertake large oil paintings on canvas, because they are incredibly time consuming. For example, Deadpool On A Unicorn took three months to complete.
